mvcrft365 “Kuler Random”

Sunday, March 31st, 2013 | Blog, Downloads, Work

For this weeks’s dailies, I came up with a nice little exercise for myself. Using Adobe’s Kuler tool, I created a ruleset I had to follow.

1. Click the “random” button.

2. Use that color palette in the daily render, and use the title of the theme as the starting point for the imagery.

For those unfamiliar with my dailies series, each week I pick a theme or a piece of media and then spin out an image a day based on that theme. I’ve included links to the theme, although I’ve noticed a few are offline already. The source files for these images are available for download at the bottom of the post.

Email me for source files. Various formats. Cinema4D, AE, PSD, AI. The usual disclaimer: I’m liberally using google images and intentionally working messy and destructively. These are certainly not production files. I don’t own all of the copyrights to every reference image, but I try and source from Creative Commons and wikipedia when I can.
